Who is Dean Calusdian, and what has he been up to lately?

For the past twelve years Summer Stage's Program Director and Lead Teacher Dean Calusdian has worked with children of all ages. He has directed a myriad of children's theater productions, and run many after-school program's, camps, and workshops. He has worked with such organizations as "The Walpole Children's Theater", "Fiddlehead Theater", "Shakespeare Now", The Foxboro Performing Arts Academy, The Norwood Public School System, "The Backstage Boosters", and many others. He was a performer at King Richards Faire for ten years, and directed the feature film, "Tortured Hearts" which screened in both the U.S. and Europe.

Dean is currently directing a dinner theater production for "The Backstage Boosters". The production will be held March 7, and is a fundraiser to provide scholarships to graduating "Norwood High School" students interested in persuing theater education.

Lots of theater in Norwood where Dean is currently teaching After-School drama programs for the Norwood Civic Center, Norwood Junior High, and the Saturday Morning "Reaching Out Program". He has also begun work on Norwood Highschool's production of Shakespeare's "AS YOU LIKE IT". He promises this will be the wackiest Shakespeare adaption EVER!!!

Dean will also be directing "School House Rocks" for the eighth grade musical at Norwood Junior High. The production is scheduled for a May performance.
He will also be directing a play for younger students at the
Balch School slated for a March performance. The specific play hasn't been chosen yet.
